Meet Diesel!

This incredibly handsome one-year-old pure-bred German shepherd boy is ready for his forever home!

Three weeks ago we spent the day transitioning Diesel to his new foster home with previous adopters of one of our alumni German shepherds and his sister.

Diesel has truly blossomed in a home with experienced GSD owners who have been able to work with him, give him guidance, and help him break bad habits, while Barukh and Tiger have worked on teaching him dog manners.

Diesel is a very affectionate boy and like all GSDs wants more than anything to please his people.

When receiving attention and guidance, he is very attentive and VERY motivated by treats!

He is playful and friendly with other dogs, but can come on a little strong initially because he gets so excited!

Diesel is a high-energy boy and really still in puppy stage for his breed, but he LOVES toys and is happy to chill and chew!

He really needs an experienced owner and handler to continue working with him. Requirements for his adoption will include a fenced yard and a playful dog sibling.

No young kids as he has a history of getting too excited & knocking them around.

Diesel is up-to-date on all vaccines, has been neutered, is heartworm negative and microchipped.

He currently weighs just under 70 lbs.

He is great on leash when handled properly, housetrained and crate trained.

Adoption fee is $200 to cover cost of vetting.

Interview, home visit, vet reference and adoption contract will be required.

No out-of-state adoptions and applications within a 60-mile radius of Springfield, Missouri will be given priority.
